At just 11mm thick, the MaraGlo version of the Marathon GPQ is the slimmest watch in the 34mm General Purpose family. Reference WW194009BK-0008 combines that low profile with a U.S. Government dial and a black DefStan strap, giving you an authentic military field watch that slides easily beneath a shirt or jacket cuff.

A thin case changes how a watch wears. It sits close to the wrist, does not catch on sleeves and feels balanced even on a fabric strap. The black fibreshell composite is light, too, so this Swiss quartz watch is easy to forget until you need it. The dial reads "U.S. Government," mirrored by government markings on the caseback, and the watch is made to MIL-PRF-46374G, Type I, Class 1, the spec that governs general-purpose military watches.

Instead of tritium, this model uses MaraGlo, Marathon's photoluminescent lume, on the markers and hands. Expose it to light and it glows for several hours. Time is kept by a Swiss ETA F06 high-torque quartz movement, protected by sapphire crystal and a pressure crown. The 11-inch black DefStan nylon strap, a British military pattern, provides extra length for larger wrists.
