Black dials and steel bracelets have defined the racing chronograph for decades, and the Tissot PR516 Chronograph T149.417.11.051.00 is a faithful modern take. Tissot introduced the PR516 name in the 1960s, and this model looks back to its 1970s chronographs with a tachymeter bezel and a domed bracelet.

The black dial is the most versatile choice in the range: it reads crisply, pairs with almost anything you wear and gives the luminous hands and indices plenty of contrast. The 40mm case is sized to sit comfortably on most wrists, while the sapphire crystal keeps it looking new.

A Swiss PowerDrive quartz chronograph runs the show, timing to a tenth of a second and up to 30 minutes, with ADD and SPLIT functions. When you want a change, the bracelet comes off without tools thanks to the quick-release system.
