description
Few watches are designed for a single sport, and fewer still for show jumping. The Longines Conquest Jumping L3.701.4.56.6 is one of them. It reflects one of Longines’ deepest sporting ties, and its dial does more than look sporty: it tracks penalty points, time faults and countdowns the way a jumping judge would.
Longines’ equestrian link dates to 1878, when it made a chronograph engraved with a jockey and horse, and the brand first timed a show-jumping competition in 1912. This watch was developed with the International Equestrian Federation. Its L441 quartz caliber runs a red central hand that times to 1/100th of a second, a 45-second countdown scale for the start after the bell, a counter at 10 o’clock for faults and penalty points, and a 2 o’clock display that switches between Table A and Table C scoring.
The 41mm steel case and black dial keep it readable and smart enough for everyday wear, and the caseback carries an engraving of a horse clearing a fence. For riders, judges or anyone who loves the sport, it is a watch with a real story.
