description
In 1972 Junghans was the official timekeeper of the Munich Olympic Games, and the 1972 Competition 027/4203.00 brings that era of orange accents and elliptical forms back to life. Its anthracite sunray dial contrasts sharply with orange totalizers and an orange tachymeter scale, a color story lifted from the sports graphics of the 1970s.
The ellipsoid steel case, 45.5 by 41mm, gives the watch real dynamism on the wrist. Inside is the J880.5 automatic chronograph, built on the ETA/Valjoux 7750, with about 48 hours of reserve. The strap is lined in orange and screwed to the case. Production was limited to 1,972 pieces.
