A new movement marks a new chapter. The Marathon 46mm OSAR-D, reference WW194037SS-2001-KIT, is the first watch in Marathon's Search and Rescue series to run on the Sellita SW600 b, a Swiss automatic caliber with a 62-hour power reserve. Here it comes in black with a stainless steel bracelet.

For years, Marathon's SAR automatics have relied on movements with roughly 41 hours of reserve. The SW600 b raises that to 62 hours, so the watch can sit on a dresser from Friday evening and still be running on Monday morning. It uses 24 jewels and is protected by Incabloc shock absorbers, keeping it resilient against the knocks that come with real use. Marathon added the 46mm OSAR-D in 2025 for larger wrists, and the new movement makes it the most technically advanced member of the family.

The dial follows the Original Search and Rescue with Date formula descended from the SAR-D issued to Canadian SAR Techs: large geometric indices and broad hands in MaraGlo lume, plus a date at 3 o'clock under a 1.5x cyclops magnifier. The 46mm brushed 316L case measures 17mm thick and 55mm lug to lug, with 22mm lugs carrying the stainless steel bracelet. Sapphire crystal, a guarded screw-down crown, a 120-click bezel and 300 meters of water resistance round out the specification.
