Oris created this green-dial bronze version to mark the 80th anniversary of the Big Crown Pointer Date, the design that has defined the brand since 1938. The 40mm case is bronze, with a stainless steel caseback against the skin, and it carries the familiar oversized crown and fluted bezel. A forest green dial and a chestnut brown leather strap with bronze buckle complete a palette that already looks pleasantly vintage on day one and only gets richer with time.
The pointer date remains the star: a center hand that sweeps around the dial’s perimeter to indicate the date, flanked by hour, minute and seconds hands. Reference 01 754 7741 3167-07 5 20 58BR uses the Oris Calibre 754, a Sellita SW 200-1-based automatic with 38 hours of reserve, protected by a double-domed sapphire crystal and rated to 5 bar.
