That backstory is the material. The pink case is made from #tide, a composite of upcycled ocean-bound plastic and glass fiber, and about 17 bottles go into each watch. The case still has the AIKON's six-claw bezel, carried over from the 1990s Calypso, along with a sapphire crystal, screwed crown and 100m water resistance. The dial has the wave-like Vagues du Jura pattern, a nod to the ocean the material came from. Swiss quartz handles the timekeeping.
