Back in 1971, Tissot made waves with the Sideral S, one of the first watches with a fiberglass case. The modern Sideral S Powermatic 80, reference T145.407.97.057.02, revives that experimental spirit with a case of forged carbon, a material whose marbled black-and-grey pattern means no two watches look exactly alike.

The design leans into its 1970s roots. A regatta-style bezel with a five-minute countdown sits over a black dial whose luminous elements glow in several colors in the dark, and a bright red perforated rubber strap adds the period-correct pop. It is also a serious tool: screw-down crown and caseback, a domed sapphire crystal and 300 meters of water resistance.

The Powermatic 80 automatic movement, visible through the see-through caseback, delivers up to 80 hours of power reserve, and the quick-release strap system makes it easy to swap colors without tools.
