The movement is Mido’s Caliber 72, an automatic based on the ETA A31.111, beating at 3.5 Hz and storing 72 hours of energy, with a titanium-alloy Nivachron balance spring for better accuracy over time. The screw-down case back is engraved with the starfish that Mido registered alongside the Ocean Star name in 1944.
