Small watches are back in style, and the Mido Baroncelli Signature Lady M037.207.36.031.01 shows how elegant a 30mm automatic can be when every detail is done properly.

The Signature collection is Mido's modern reading of its classic Baroncelli design, inspired by Milan's Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II. Its silver dial has a fine sandblasted texture, while a domed sapphire crystal gives it a soft, vintage curve. The stainless steel case wears a rose gold PVD coating that adds warmth and pairs beautifully with the black leather strap.

Unusually for such a petite watch, it is fully mechanical. The self-winding Mido Caliber 48 (based on the ETA C26.111) uses a Nivachron balance spring for better resistance to magnetism and shocks and offers up to 48 hours of reserve. A see-through back reveals the movement, and 50m of water resistance makes it comfortable for daily wear. At 9mm thick, it slips easily under a sleeve.
