The Marathon 36mm OSAR-D Arctic Edition WW194026SS-2530-KIT is the most outdoorsy version of the compact Original Search and Rescue with Date, fitted with a 3-piece rubber strap kit for kayaking, snorkeling, sailing and long summer days.

The 3-piece FKM rubber strap kit is made in La Chaux-de-Fonds, where Marathon assembles its watches, and it suits a dive watch perfectly. It stays comfortable when wet, handles salt and chlorine, and keeps the 36mm case light and secure on the wrist. The black strap frames the white Arctic dial dramatically, and that dial is functional as well as handsome: Marathon chose white for legibility in bright and snowy conditions, so the time is clear even with sun bouncing off the water.

The OSAR-D's dial uses large geometric indices with MaraGlo lume, broad hands and a cyclops-magnified date at 3 o'clock. Around it, the SAR hardware is unchanged: a brushed 316L stainless steel case only 13mm thick, sapphire crystal, a guarded screw-down crown, 300 meters of water resistance and an oversized bezel with 120 clicks. A Sellita SW200-1 automatic movement with Incabloc shock protection keeps it running through every splash.
