When Mido turned 75 years of Ocean Star into a watch, it did not reach for a modern maxi-diver. It looked back to the slim, polished dive watches of the 1960s, and the Ocean Star Tribute in Mediterranean blue is the result: a 40.5mm diver with real vintage charm and a modern movement.

The blue dial is matched by a blue aluminum bezel ring, so the whole face reads as one cool, cohesive color. Flat diamond-cut hands and luminous hour markers keep it legible, while Mido’s signature orange varnished seconds hand adds a small spark. A box-shaped sapphire crystal rises above the case, recalling the domed acrylic of period divers. The Caliber 80 automatic, based on the ETA C07.621, beats at 21,600 vibrations per hour and stores up to 80 hours of energy, with a day-date display at 3 o’clock. The starfish, the historic Ocean Star emblem, is engraved on the screw-down back.

The supple steel multi-link bracelet has a folding clasp with diving extension, and the special edition comes with an additional strap for a quick change of style.
