Pool laps, open-water swims and boat days all suit the rubber-strapped version of the YAMAM edition. The Marathon JDD, reference WW194021SS-0730, places the 46mm Jumbo Day/Date diver on a black 3-piece rubber strap kit, with a black dial and an English/Hebrew day wheel.

The -07 series JDD is Marathon's YAMAM edition, associated with the Israel Police special unit, and its English/Hebrew day wheel sets it apart from the standard bilingual English/French model. On rubber, it becomes the most water-friendly configuration of the edition. The FKM 3-piece strap kit, made in La Chaux-de-Fonds, stands up to salt, chlorine and UV, rinses clean in seconds and wraps comfortably over a wetsuit sleeve.

All the dive credentials are here. A screw-down crown with guards seals the 46mm 316L steel case to 30 ATM, or 300 meters. The oversized unidirectional bezel turns in 120 precise clicks and is easy to grip with gloves, with a MaraGlo pip for low light. Tritium gas tubes light the markers and high-torque hands continuously, and a domed sapphire crystal protects the dial. The movement is a Sellita SW220 Swiss automatic with 26 jewels, Incabloc shock protection and about 41 hours of reserve, all housed in an 18mm-thick case designed to Canadian Government search and rescue requirements.
