The Marathon JDD, reference WW194021SS-0109, is the largest automatic member of that family: a 46mm Jumbo Day/Date with a black dial and stainless steel bracelet.

Marathon's relationship with the military goes back to 1941, when the family-owned company, founded in 1904, filled its first order for the Royal Canadian Air Force. Its SAR line has since been issued to elite members of the Canadian and U.S. militaries and other government agencies. The JDD earns its place in that lineup with a 300-meter rating, a screw-down crown flanked by guards and an oversized unidirectional bezel that can be turned with gloved hands, clicking through 120 positions.

Legibility is everything underwater, and the JDD delivers. Tritium gas tubes on the hour markers and high-torque hands glow without charging for many years, while a MaraGlo pip highlights the bezel. Day and date are displayed in oversized windows, with an English/French bilingual day wheel. The movement is the Sellita SW220 self-winding calibre with 26 jewels, Incabloc protection and approximately 41 hours of reserve. A domed sapphire crystal and a stainless steel bracelet complete this large Swiss automatic dive watch.
