Bulova built the original Super Seville reputation on the Day-Date reference from the 1970s, and the Mid-Size leans directly on that lineage rather than reinventing the shape. First, the date window: while the write-up accompanying this release states the date function was removed to give the stone dial an uninterrupted look, Bulova's own published specifications for the Magnesite reference list "Calendar" among its functions, which doesn't match that description. It's the kind of inconsistency that happens with spec-sheet templates, but it's worth confirming which is accurate for the specific reference you're considering before ordering.

Second, pricing has moved since this line first launched. It was initially announced with Jade and Sodalite priced at $995, but both are currently listed at $1,025 directly on Bulova's site, while Magnesite remains at $895. Not a large jump, but worth checking current pricing rather than relying on the original announcement.

About That Watch Fair

The Super Seville Mid-Size was also positioned as something to see in person at the Windup Watch Fair Chicago. That event has since come and gone, it ran July 10 through 12 at Morgan MFG, and Bulova had an actual on-the-ground presence there with a live-streamed showcase of new releases during the show.
