The GSAR's credentials are hard to match. Marathon built the SAR line to Canadian Government search and rescue standards, and the GSAR is the model issued to the U.S. Marine Corps. That heritage shows in the hardware: the brushed 316L case is rated to 300 meters and sealed with a screw-down crown between guards, the sapphire crystal resists scratches, and the 60-minute bezel turns in one direction only for safe dive timing. Self-powered tritium tubes, rated for around 20 years, light every hour marker and hand.
