Most field watches come in bare steel. This one wears Hamilton’s distinctive Earth-colored PVD coating, and paired with a green dial it creates one of the most cohesive, outdoorsy looks in the Khaki Field Mechanical family.

The concept is still the original soldier’s watch, recreated from Hamilton’s 1960s design with a dark dial, light-colored numerals and triangular indexes lit by old radium-tone Super-LumiNova. The earthy case tone and green dial evoke canvas, forest and field gear, giving the watch a tactical yet warm personality. Inside beats the hand-wound H-50 caliber with up to 80 hours of power reserve.

It measures 38mm across and 9.5mm thick, with 20mm lugs, a sapphire crystal and 50m of water resistance. Hamilton lists this reference as part of a past collection, which makes it a nice find for anyone who missed it the first time.
