The black dial version of the Longines Conquest Chronograph L3.835.4.52.6 has the most classic racing-chronograph look in the 2024 lineup. Silver counters pop against a black dial with a circular finish, and a ceramic tachymeter bezel completes the motorsport look without overdoing it. It is a reverse-panda style that will not date.

This is a properly modern chronograph. The Longines L898.5 automatic, based on an ETA A31.L01 chronograph platform, has a silicon balance spring and beats at 28,800 vph. It delivers about 59 hours of autonomy, which is generous for a chronograph, and you can watch the movement through the sapphire caseback. The case has a screw-in crown and 100 meters of water resistance, so it handles everyday life without fuss.

The steel case measures 42mm and 14.3mm, which gives it the wrist presence a sports chronograph deserves. The H-link bracelet balances the head well.
