description
Bright, cheerful and impossible to ignore, the 1972 Competition FIS Edition Lemon 027/4305.00 was made for the 2023 FIS Nordic World Ski Championships in Planica, Slovenia, where Junghans was timing partner. Only 150 pieces were made, each with a lemon-yellow dial set against black oval subdials.
It uses the same ellipsoid steel case as the 1972 Competition, 45.5 by 41mm, and the J880.5 automatic chronograph based on the Valjoux 7750, with about 48 hours of reserve. A perforated yellow leather strap echoes vintage racing gloves. It is a collector’s watch with a real sporting connection.
