CASE & STRAP
The Oyster case of the watch is made of oystersteel, 43 mm in diameter. The case back and winding crown are screw-down, and the bezel is unidirectional rotatable 60-minute graduated. The crystal is scratch-resistant sapphire, and the watch is waterproof to 1,220 metres / 4,000 feet. The helium escape valve is a safety feature that allows the watch to be safely used in diving situations.
The Rolex 3235 is a perpetual, mechanical, self-winding movement that is extremely precise, with a tolerance of +/- 2 seconds per day. It features a paramagnetic blue Parachrom hairspring and high-performance Paraflex shock absorbers for superior accuracy and durability. The movement is also bidirectional, meaning it winds itself in both directions, making it extremely easy to keep running. It has a power reserve of approximately 70 hours, meaning it can go for days without being wound.
