DTU-2A/P FIELD WATCH Precisely reproduces the original DTU-2A case back markings. Assembled in the USA. The BENRUS ‘DTU,’ first issued in 1964, was developed following military modifications in the early 60s to meet combat watch standards. The revamp aimed to create a durable 17-jewel hacking wristwatch with extended durability. BENRUS produced the DTU-2A/P based on this request, which eventually led to the creation of the renowned Type I. To celebrate a century of watchmaking, the brand revisits this classic military watch with a re-edition of the original BENRUS DTU-2A/P field watch. It features a 39.5mm bead-blasted 316L stainless steel case, a black dial with white numerals and indices, an inner military time ring, and Super-LumiNova hands and markers. Powered by a Sellita SW200 automatic movement with a 38-hour power reserve and 5ATM water resistance, the watch is topped with a double-domed acrylic crystal and comes on a green seatbelt nylon NATO strap. Many soldiers personalized their own watches, so the new BENRUS DTU-2A/P includes a removable military compass attached to the strap. Assembled in the USA, it also bears all the original vintage case back markings.
